Who is Colin?
Colin Talero is a North Carolina musician who has spent years working on his craft. Since an early age, he has been obsessed with all aspects of music.
He began playing saxophone in middle school and proceeded to pick up singing and guitar in high school, beginning his journey into multi-instrumentalism. Before finishing his high school tenure he began studies under Tim Gordon, a well known North Carolina jazz saxophonist. Following high school Colin would go on to earn a degree in Commercial Music and Audio Production at Western Carolina University.
Here he studied jazz under greats such as: Tiffany Jackson, Chris Beyt and Pavel Wlosok. This included multiple levels of music theory, studies in improvisation, and performances in various ensembles, such as The WCU Jazz Band, where he spent 4 years, 3 of which were as lead tenor. Additionally, he took various courses in mixing, mastering and sound design, working on many projects in Western's professional studio, equipped with Avid HDX and an Avid S6 Console.
While primarily a jazz musician, Colin is not a stranger to various styles, having played for musical productions such Means Girls and Anything Goes.
These days you can find Colin trying to find the latest piece of gear to buy or playing with his band Roller Dogs (EP COMING SOON)
